When I was pregnant, I worked in an elementary school. I ended up sick for most of the fall, and unable to take most cold medicine. While commiserating with another pregnant mama, she told me that she had started using essential oils. They helped her and her family deal with everyday stresses and manage cold symptoms. I had done some exploration of herbal medicine with my herb garden and teas (with limited results just based on the concentration), and I figured that there wasn't much I could lose. At the very least it could make for some delightful aromas throughout the house.
Well, the aromas are delightful! Diffused, worn, or just sniffed straight from the bottle I love the various smells and effects of these essential oils. There are some that I wear half as perfume and half to invigorate me throughout the day. Others are great for dealing with a headache or digestive discomfort (and let me tell you how much more enjoyable using oils is than the pink stuff). I always tended to have hit or miss results with over the counter medications anyways, so I now my first line of defense are enjoyable natural essential oils.
Eventually I will have links to various experiences and "recipes" listed on this page for easy reference. You can also click here for more information, including the source I use for my essential oils. If you are interested in buying these at a discount, please let me know and I can guide you on your journey.
